Enterprises in northeast China's Jilin Province are actively developing intelligent logistics so as to better integrate into the Belt and Road (B&R) construction, reported Jilin Daily Wednesday.

Currently, the intelligent container whole-process monitoring system co-developed by Changchun International Land Port Development Co., Ltd., a logistics firm in Jilin, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), a large state-owned enterprise group, is capable of whole-process cargo locating and tracking.

The system can monitor the container's running track and safety situation, and alarm for abnormal running and intrusion. It can also perform purposeful inspections of containers during the monitoring.

The application of the system will improve the recognition of intelligent data in the customs of different countries, promoting the mutual recognition of customs supervision data and accelerating the customs clearance.

It's learned that the system can be applied to the China-Europe freight trains to further Jilin's cooperation and exchanges with countries passing by the China-Europe freight trains, and create opportunities for the province's in-depth integration into the B&R construction.

Insiders believe that the system will greatly influence the development of the logistics industry by improving logistics efficiency, reducing logistics costs, and standardizing logistics management, leading the intelligent upgrade of the industry.
