German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ran an article on May 20 about China's assistance to Pakistan.

Pakistani entrepreneurs said that Pakistan is one of the most important parts in China's Belt and Road Initiative, according to the report.

The newspaper reports that the Pakistanis think China's projects in their country match China's promises, and are also in line with the expectations of the Pakistani business people and politicians.

The German newspaper's interview with Pakistanis shows that the locals believe China regards their country as an important grain production base, and believe that there are rich investment opportunities in Pakistan's agriculture. So, the Chinese enterprises tend to cooperation with local partners to build factories producing chemical fertilizers, pesticides, vaccines and fodder.

Chinese investors also want to build the coast which faces the Persian Gulf into entertainment and tourism spots for travelers from around the world, just like Dubai in the Middle East.

The newspaper's report also covers China's oil and gas, road, cable and railway projects in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor region.
