SF Airlines, China's leading air cargo carrier, opened a new international cargo route linking central China's Wuhan and Japan's Osaka Friday, the company said.

The Wuhan-Osaka cargo route will facilitate the resumption of work in Wuhan and meet air transport demand from the cross-border e-commerce industry, said SF Airlines.

The cargo airline will use the B757-200 all-cargo freighter on the route with two round-trips per week. The weekly air cargo transport capacity on the route could reach 110 tonnes.

All-cargo freighters provide time-effective and stable air transport. They can improve efficiency and cut air logistics cost, which help facilitate work resumption, the cargo carrier said.

SF Airlines, the aviation branch of China's delivery giant SF Express, operates a total of 60 all-cargo freighters on its global air cargo service network.

The company will support work resumption by improving its international air route network and service capability, said the carrier.
