German transport company DB Schenker, US tech firm Dell Technologies, and Xi'an International Inland Port Investment & Development (ITL) Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Nov 5 in Shanghai during the ongoing fourth China International Import Expo being held on Nov 5-10.

The three sides will jointly build an international logistics channel for electronic information products. They successfully tested the Rostock train in July 2021.

The Rostock route is a customized route jointly developed by the three parties. Even in the peak hours of China-Europe trains, it still offers excellent efficiency and a stable schedule, which greatly shortens the logistics process for enterprises and improves response efficiency for overseas customers.

The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement has laid a solid foundation for the stable operation of the China-Europe (Chang'an) freight train in the future.

Since its launch in 2013, the China-Europe (Chang'an) freight train has made more than 10,000 trips and has gradually become the most punctual train service with the densest lines and the highest heavy load rate in the country.

The freight train currently operates 15 trunk lines and has achieved near full coverage of Asia and Europe.
