ICBC Turkey wins award from Turkish Capital Market Association

ISTANBUL, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Turkish subsidiary of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) was on Wednesday granted the "Best Investment Banking Award" by the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TCMA).

ICBC Turkey Securities also received the "Leader of Financial Intermediation Transactions" award in the Corporate Finance category.

"As Turkey's first Chinese-funded bank, we aimed to become a strong brand since our first entry into the Turkish finance sector in 2015, and have maintained our efforts in this regard ever since," said Gao Xiangyang, chairman of ICBC Turkey, at the sixth TCMA Capital Markets Awards ceremony held in Istanbul.

"In particular, our utmost priority is to establish stronger commercial, economic and cultural ties between China and Turkey," Gao said.

According to the chairman, his institution provides financing for numerous pioneering projects that contribute to the development of Turkey, "including but not limited to bridges, highways, and city hospitals."
