KUNMING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- A ride on a bullet train was organized for journalists along the China-Laos Railway, which is expected to officially start operation in December.
The train left Kunming on Friday and arrived in Mohan, a township on the China-Laos border, six hours later.
The China-Laos Railway is over 1,000 kilometers long, stretching from Kunming of Yunnan Province in the north to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, in the south.
The China-Laos Railway is a docking project between the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Laos' strategy to convert itself from a landlocked country to a land-linked hub.
