CHONGQING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Beijing 2022 has ignited people's passion for winter sports in southwest China, where snow is rarely seen. Xinhua's Chen Qingbing takes you to a ski resort in Chongqing, to see how people enjoy skiing there.

Snow is rarely seen in the southern part of China. However, under the Olympic fever, more and more ski resorts appear in these areas, providing fresh Winter Games experiences for local people.

Nantian Lake International Ski Resort, with an altitude of more than 1,800 meters, is one of the largest alpine ski resorts in southwest China. It attracts more than 3,000 visitors daily on weekends.

It also provides ski training camps for children, so that they can receive professional training from an early age.
