NANNING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-eight-year-old Pakistani Azeem Muhammad Shakir has volunteered to join the anti-epidemic fight in Baise City of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, since the city reported the first local infection in its latest outbreak on Feb. 5.

He provides voluntary service at COVID-19 nucleic acid testing sites, as well as isolation sites.

Having been living in Baise for eight years, Shakir, who works at a gym, has regarded the city as his second hometown.
