China's Yiwu handles over 3600 China-Europe freight trains in total

No.75098/7 China-Europe freight train departed from Yiwu West Railway Station, through Xinjiang Horgos Port, it heads towards Madrid, Spain on Thursday, marking that Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe)  China-Europe freight train has accumulated to more than 3,600 units, with shipment volume exceeding 300,000 TEUs, reported China News Service.

The first Yixin'ou China-Europe freight train (Yiwu-Madrid) was launched in Yiwu on November 18, 2014. Up to now, Yiwu has opened 17 point-to-point international railway direct freight train lines, connecting more than 160 cities in over 50 countries and regions in the Eurasian continent.

Dubbed the "World's Supermarket", Yiwu city has always been a strong supply support to Yixin'ou China-Europe freight train. The shipped categories of goods have expanded from the original daily necessities, hardware and building materials to more than 10,000 types of goods such as smart home appliances, epidemic prevention materials and other wider ranges.
It is learned that China-Europe freight train has become one of the main channel connecting Eurasia due to its advantages of stability, efficiency and wide coverage.
In the next step, measures will be taken to further optimize the transportation organization, improve the quality and efficiency of China-Europe freight trains so as to better serve the countries and people along passing routes.
