Yixin'ou China-Europe freight train service in Yiwu posts significant growth in Q1

Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) China-Europe freight train saw steady growth in the operating platform in Yiwu, a small commodity production center in east China's Zhejiang province, in the first quarter of this year, with a total of 370 trips run by freight trains, increasing 10.1 percent year on year, reported people.com.cn.


The number of return trains of Yixin'ou China-Europe freight train has grown steadily in Yiwu from January to March. A total of 141 return trains were registered during the period, a year-on-year increase of 98 percent.

From January to February, goods with a value of 4.89 billion yuan were transported from Yiwu by Yixin'ou freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 5.3 percent. Starting from 2022, shipped cargo was further enriched, textile raw materials, auto parts, chemical products, machinery and equipment, furniture and household appliances were main categories on the return journey of trains.
Since the first launch of Yixin'ou China-Europe freight train, a total of over 3,770 trains, carrying more than 308,000 TEUs, have been operated with actual load rate of the trains standing at 100 percent.
Currently, 17 international point-to-point freight routes of Yixin'ou connect 50 countries and more than 160 cities in Europe and Asia, boosting the connectivity in the Eurasian continent.
