E. China's Hefei handles over 2200 China-Europe freight trains in total

Up to now, Hefei, the capital city of east China's Anhui province, has handled more than 2,200 China-Europe freight trains, by which the import and export trade volume has exceeded 10 billion U.S. dollars, reported Hefei Daily.

It is learned that a total of 100 TEUs were shipped by the China-Europe freight train, valuing over 2.3 million U.S. dollars. 

According to statistics, in 2021, Hefei operated a total of 668 China-Europe freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 17.69 percent. In the past eight years, Hefei sea-rail combined transport has sent more than 150,000 TEUs. High-precision products such as solar photovoltaics, liquid crystal displays, and robot components are the main commodities.

Currently, operation scale of Hefei China-Europe freight train has increased from less than 200 in the first three years to 668 lines in 2021. While the operation frequency has increased from 1-2 times per month to 12-15 times per week, connecting multiple cities in Anhui province.

In recent years, Hefei China-Europe freight train service has continuously developed new businesses mode and strengthened its coverage in EU, Central Asia, West Asia, and Siberia. Now, it reaches 17 countries and 74 cities worldwide.
