ISLAMABAD, April 22 (Xinhua) -- China has been effectively controlling COVID-19. That contributes immensely to the global fight against the pandemic, said former Pakistani Ambassador to China Masood Khalid.

In response to sporadic outbreaks in some 30 provincial areas in the country since March, China has been adhering to a dynamic zero-COVID approach, taking swift and precise actions to curb new cases while treating the infected.

Pakistani health expert Shahzad Ali Khan said China's dynamic zero-COVID policy remains the optimal choice to timely contain the resurgence of the virus.
