Chinese new material company receives large order from France for lithium battery isolation film

Yunnan Energy New Material Co., Ltd. (002812.SZ), a leading manufacturer of lithium battery isolation film, announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary SHK signed a product purchase contract with French company Automotive Cells Company SE (ACC), reported Shanghai Securities News.

According to the agreement, SHK would supply about 655 million euros of lithium battery isolation film products to ACC from 2024 to 2030.

SHK was founded on June 29, 2020 and registered in France, and its main business is developing and producing battery cells and modules for electric vehicles.

ACC is dedicated to developing and producing electric vehicle battery cells and modules with good performance and high safety, and has invested about 7 billion euros in total in this field.

The world's leading automobile manufacturers Stellantis and Mercedes-Benz and the world's leading diversified energy company Total Energies respectively hold one-third of the shares of ACC.

According to Yunnan Energy New Material Co., Ltd., the signing of the contract marks positive progress of the company in developing overseas market of lithium battery isolation film, and will further enhance the company's profitability and consolidate its competitive advantages in the international market.
