"Despite uncertainties, we have great confidence in Lanxess's business in China over the long term, knowing that the Chinese market will play a positive and significant role in the global economy", said Qian Mingcheng, President of Lanxess Asia Pacific.

Lanxess, a Gernman leading chemicals supplier, achieves the total sales of 7.6 billion euros in 2021. The company sees strong sales growth in Greater China area last year, which accounts for 10 percent of the group's total sales of the whole year.

At present, the company has 5 offices, 13 research and development and production bases with 1,200 employees in China.

In 2021, Lanxess APAC Application Development Center was officially opened to further strengthen its innovation capability in China and Asia-Pacific region and meet the growing market demand for localized products.

China is the world's largest market for chemical production and sales, which underpins global market and stabilizes industrial and supply chains around the world, Qian said.
