A fast railway customs clearance procedure has been implemented for inbound and outbound Yixinou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) China-Europe freight trains of east China's Zhejiang Province, reported Chinanews.com on Thursday.

Under fast customs clearance mode, local customs share logistics data with railway department, and a number of facilitation measures such as advance declaration will then take effect. All customs clearance procedures for qualified trade goods will be completed at the customs.

In order to ensure the smooth operation of China-Europe freight train, Yiwu Customs further promotes round-the-clock customs clearance services. Customs clearance time for goods was shortened from 2 hours to 10 minutes, thus reducing overall logistics time by about 2 days, with TEU shipping costs also lowered.

Starting from this year, a total of 808 Yixinou China-Europe freight trains were operated as of June 30, a year-on-year increase of 9.5 percent, while 338 ones are returning inbound trains, up 72.9 percent year on year.

Data showed that over 10,000 kinds of commodities were transported by Yixinou China-Europe freight trains, with local goods from Yiwu accounting for 40 percent. The export volume of high value-added products such as auto parts, photovoltaic products and baby formula is showing a growth trend year by year.
