The Chang'an China-Europe freight train service has operated 13,632 trains by the end of July this year.
Launched in 2013, the Chang'an trains have become a vital transport link between Europe and the city of Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province.
Tang Jialong, office director of Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group, noted that the opening of the Chang'an China-Europe freight train service is a milestone for the company to achieve leapfrog development, as the company's turnover totaled 500 million yuan in 2021, a surge of 300 million from 2015.
From January to July this year, Chang'an China-Europe freight trains have conducted 2,217 trips this year, with 1.855 million tonnes of goods delivered.
By the end of July, the Chang'an service has opened 16 international cargo routes connecting Xi'an with destinations in Asia and Europe.
