Founded in 2000, it boasts the largest high-tech park in the country.

According to President of Porto Digital Pierre Lucena, more than 350 high-tech companies from home and abroad have been attracted to the park, in addition to industrial incubators and scientific research institutions with around 15,000 employees in total.

He also said the port hopes to develop partnerships with Chinese companies.

Yan Yuqing, China's consul general in Recife, said that companies from both China and Brazil can boost cooperation in a number of sectors.
