PARIS, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- New energy vehicles (NEVs) are in the spotlight at the 89th Paris Motor Show which kicked off on Monday in Paris.

Nearly 100 enterprises are exhibiting their latest products, including some Chinese car manufacturers.

Chinese automaker BYD is showcasing three of its latest NEVs, pledging to offer better charging services to European car owners.

GWM has brought several of its new energy vehicles to the show. The company plans to unveil more than 50 NEV products by 2025.

Seres, a Dongfeng brand, plans to set up dozens of sales outlets in France by the end of this year, hoping for selling 1,500 vehicles in 2023.

This year, the one-week expo has a smaller scale. Organizers estimate that the number of visitors can reach 300,000 to 400,000.
