Great Wall Motors NEV models appear at Paris Motor Show 2022

Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors (GWM) showcased new energy vehicle (NEV) models at the Paris Motor Show on October 17, including the ORA Haomao (named Funky Cat in the European market), ORA Haomao GT (named Funky Cat GT in the European market), reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com Tuesday.

ORA, a brand positioned as the new generation electric car under the Great Wall Mortors, was officially launched with its first model on August 20, 2018. 

ORA's Haomao, a pure electric small car following the European standards, officially went on the market in the Paris Motor Show.

Regarding the globalization of the ORA brand, its European brand director Rebecca Grajecki held that, ORA is committed to serving young users around the world, providing digital, intelligent and entertaining products and services, and become their best friends in the digital age. At this presence to the Paris Auto Show, ORA has further implemented and grown its global strategy with tangible hard-core technology and multiple products.

It is noted that GWM has established over 700 overseas sales channels globally, and with China as the core, it has established research and development centers in Asia, Europe and North America.

In terms of production, in addition to 10 complete vehicle production bases in China, GWM has also established full-process production bases in Russia, Thailand and Brazil, and has several assembly plants in Ecuador, Malaysia as well as other countries and regions.

Noting ORA's global perspective, Rebcca Grajecki added that ORA's has expanded overseas business to ASEAN, Europe and other markets. Through innovative categories of travel products and user service communities centered on ORA App, it has established in-depth communication with users around the world.  

As the first global new energy model of the ORA brand, the ORA Haomao has obtained the Euro New Car Assessment Program test (E-NCAP) five-star safety certification after passing the Euro NCAP at the beginning of September this year.

Next, ORA Haomao will continue to strengthen its overseas layout, and is expected to enter Israel, Iceland and other countries and regions in 2023.
