A China-Europe freight train loaded with new energy vehicles (NEVs) departed from Zhengzhou, the capital city of central China's Henan Province on Monday. Through Alashankou port, it will arrive in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, reported local media dahe.cn.
Compared with previous freight trains, this train is the first special train for NEVs exports launched by Henan province, and NEV products from China's domestic electric vehicle manufacturers such as Hongqi, XPeng, VOYAH and other brands are taking this trip to Europe.
It is learned that the NEVs special train is another customized freight train after the China-Europe mail special train, timber special train, mung bean special train, green tea special train and Yutong bus special train in Henan.
With the strong support of railways and other departments, Zhengzhou strengthened coordination organization and tailored transportation plans for this train. Besides, green channels were set up for fast customs clearance and logistics transportation of this train, thus providing strong guarantee for electric vehicle manufacturing enterprises to explore overseas markets and better participate in global industrial cooperation.
Statistics showed Henan has run a total of 6,300 China-Europe freight trains (namely Zhongyu), covering more than 140 cities in more than 40 countries and regions.
