Chinese automaker BYD announced Wednesday that it has entered into a partnership with Saga Group, the largest car dealer in Brazil, to jointly open the first store in the capital city Brasilia, reported Xinhua-run China Securities Journal.

Statistics showed that up to now, BYD has established 10 dealership offline stores in Brazil, continuing to provide local consumers with high-quality new energy vehicle (NEV) sales and after-sales service.

Li Tie, general manager of BYD Brazil, said that the establishment of a cooperative relationship with Saga Group is crucial to consolidate the development of BYD automobile brand in Brazilian market. In the future, the two parties will work together to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of local transportation.

It is reported that currently, BYD has 10 new energy vehicle dealerships stores in Brazil and has obtained franchises in 31 major Brazilian cities. BYD's presence in Brazil is expected to expand to 45 cities by the end of this year, with 100 stores set up by the end of 2023, the company said.
