Chinese sic-tech company wins bid for intelligent transformation of int'l airport in Zimbabwe

Terminus Group, a Chinese company engaging in business related to artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, has recently won the bid for the intelligent transformation of Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare, Zimbabwe, reported Shanghai Securities News Tuesday quoting the company.

The company will be deeply involved in the reconstruction and expansion of the airport in the coming period of time, helping the airport in digital transformation by providing intelligent terminal equipment.

It is learned that Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport is located in the southern outskirt of Harare, and is the largest airport in Zimbabwe.

The expansion of the airport started in 2018 and is now coming to an end, with a cost of 153 million U.S. dollars. When the project is completed, the passenger throughput of the airport will increase from 2.5 million to 6 million a year.

Targeting the airport's needs in upgrading the air conditioning system, the ventilation system and the smoke exhaust control system, Terminus Group will provide it with intelligent terminal equipment covering temperature and humidity, carbon emission and PM 2.5 management, so as to help the management and staff of the airport achieve more economical, efficient and convenient management capabilities and passengers achieve more comfortable, safer and greener travel experiences.
