Manzhouli, a city that borders Russia in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region completed its first  export order of market procurement trade to Saudi Arabia on Sunday, Chinanews.com reported on Sunday.

According to the Manzhouli Customs, the order was a batch of women's slippers valuing 629,200 yuan, which have been declared customs duty at Manzhouli Port and shipped to Saudi Arabia on December 18.

The good exports through market procurement trade not only save logistics costs for enterprises, but also greatly shorten the customs clearance time of goods at domestic ports in China, said a manager with an internatinal trade company in Manzhouli.

In order to accelerate the promotion of market procurement trade, the border trade commodity market in Manzhouli was approved on September 15, 2020 to pilot procurement trade, which was officially implemented on August 6, 2021.

Export commodities of market procurement at Manzhouli mainly include 12 types of goods, such as machinery, mechanical products and parts, textiles, and daily necessities, and it is expected to conduct international trade with more trading partners countries and regions in a wide variety of goods in the future, according to the Manzhouli Customs.
