FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (FAW Toyota), a joint venture between China FAW Group Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corp., has launched new car models under its new Crown series at the ongoing 20th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, reported Economic Information Daily Monday.

It's the first time for the Sedan model of its new Crown series on display offline. The SportCross model of the Crown series started official pre-sale at the exhibition.

As the first medium-sized luxury crossover model under the Crown series of FAW Toyota, SportCross has seen two models released at the exhibition, with the pre-sale prices standing at 369,000 yuan and 429,000 yuan, respectively.

The SportCross models released boast a simple design with a body color scheme of black and gold, as well as a peak power of 255kW and a maximum output torque of 551N·m, and only need 5.8 seconds to reach 100km/h from stationary.

Besides, with the adjusted independent suspension based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform and the E-Four  Advanced electronic all-wheel-drive system, the new models will bring better driving experience for users.

The Sedan model of FAW Toyota's new Crown series inherits the sedate style of the Crown brand to meet the needs of consumers with a larger size, higher quality and higher comfort.

FAW Toyota also exhibited many other models at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, including pure electric ones.

It is learned that the cumulative sales of FAW Toyota exceeded 10 million in 2022. In the future, the company will focus on intelligent development of vehicles with hybrid technology as the core to provide users with more convenient, intelligent and safer travel experience.
