China-Laos Railway passenger trips hit 14.43 mln in over 500 days

KUNMING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- The China-Laos Railway has handled a total of 14.43 million passenger trips since it started operations on Dec. 3, 2021, data from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. showed Wednesday.
As of April 18 this year, the China-Laos Railway has been in operation for 502 days. During this period, cargo transported on the railway totaled 18.84 million tonnes.
The goods shipped from China to Laos mainly consist of machinery and equipment, household appliances, vegetables, flowers, mechanical parts, etc., while the goods shipped from Laos to China mainly include metal ore and cassava.
