Talk with Ambassadors | BRI to create shared prosperity, Sri Lankan Ambassador to China
The cooperation projects under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) such as the Colombo Port City and the Hambantota Port help generate employment, generate income, also bring in modern technologies for his country, Sri Lankan Ambassador to China Palitha Kohona said.
“The BRI is intended to create shared prosperity”, the Ambassador said, commenting on the development opportunities brought by BRI during an interview with the Belt and Road Portal.
The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the BRI. It has brought noticeable benefits to the participating countries as well as other nations and regions across the world, and better promoted people-to-people exchanges.
“Sri Lanka will continue to look forward to more BRI related investments”, the Sri Lankan Ambassador said.
