Lenovo, Huawei and Alibaba are the top three Chinese brands in overseas markets, according to the first "BrandZ™ Top 30 Chinese Global Brand Builders" ranking recently released by WPP Group and Kantar Millward Brown in collaboration with Google.

The report made an analysis on the brand power of 167 Chinese brands in seven countries (the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan).

Lenovo Group ranks first as the most powerful Chinese export brand with a score of 1,682. It is followed by Huawei (1,256) and Alibaba (1,047).

Consumer electronics brands from China are increasingly popular overseas, the report said.

The report also found the images of Chinese brands improve constantly in foreign markets and that now is a good time for Chinese companies to expand into the global market.

The report suggests that Chinese companies make new branding strategies to tap their potential in developed countries. If they can adapt to the fierce competition in the markets of developed countries, they have the chance to realize global commercial success.
