In February 2021, COSCO SHIPPING joined the UN Global Compact Action Platform on Sustainable Infrastructure for the Belt and Road Initiative to Accelerate the SDGs, and actively participated in the first public health pilot project of the platform. On October 22, 2021, the unveiling ceremony for the project and its practice base was held at Dong Fang International Container (Qidong) Co., Ltd., which is affiliated to COSCO SHIPPING Development, a subsidiary of the Group. This project will leverage COSCO SHIPPING's excellent container manufacturing capacity to produce new intelligent mobile toilets which are energy-saving and environmentally friendly for Funing County of Yunnan Province. These toilets feature short engineering periods and environmental friendliness and can provide customized services based on different scenarios and requirements. They can help significantly enhance the public health infrastructure in the Belt and Road countries and contribute to the UN's sustainable development goals in the health sector.
